Okay, I totally HAVE to share my secret! A woman told me of this product 10 years ago. Her only request? That I sing it's praises to all who will listen. So, here goes. TRY THE men's MACH 3 razor, no, not the SCHICK Quatro, the extra blade is just smoke and mirrors. I am talking the old-school tried and true MACH 3. It's fan-tab-u-lous. I encourage you to try it and then blog about it. I know, I am just a random reading quack, but the slick, smooth, uber-quick shave of the MACH 3 has revolutionized my life.

Oh, and for the record, my last name is not Mach or anything. I just really love this razor!

Be Blessed~

I have tried these before and they are nice for your calves and shins, but I have a horrible time with knees and down closer to my ankles with this. I don't know if it's because it's so garsh-darned big or what, but I used the free one I got (when I had my baby in October) and then went back to the Daisies I usually use. I know they're cheap but they work great and I never cut myself with them.

I love this razor too! I bought one and thought it would be a bit awkward and bulky, but I loved how smooth and luxurious it was. I also hate how expensive the cartridges can be though. I generally only use it for special occasions and store it in a dry place when I'm not using it.

Like you, I discovered this razor by accident. In my case, it was when I stashed what I thought was a "normal" razor pack into my Costco cart. I have to say, I am a fan. I have a shower the size of a small phone booth, so this razor has finally made it possible for me to shave without turning off the water that would otherwise rinse my legs before I could shave them. My only advice is to keep the razor in a dry place when not in use; those pricey cartridges will last a lot longer.

I totally agree! I love this razor, but was also wondering why the solid gel is on the back and hardly gets used.

They make the Venus razor with a blade that has the shave gel built in as well. I shave daily and therefore go through razors quickly. Since they are so pricey I can extend the life of the razor by using it with regular shave gel when the "fancy" stuff is gone on the razor. The Venus razor is not as bulky as the Schick Intuituion either. Hope this makes sense. It seems I can't find the words tonight for all this technical stuff.

Good question, Tom, and I have no idea. I have a feeling that it's a brilliant marketing ploy.

Does anyone know?

My wife is always borrowing my razor. Just curious -- what distinguishes a feminine razor from a masculine razor? Is it just branding and marketing, or is there somerthing fundamentally different about the blades?
