I wore them under my cute black dress and they worked great! Since I am pretty short the regular mid-thigh kind came almost up to my bra and hid my muffin top. My husband called them ant pants because he thought they would fit an ant but he loved how confident I felt in them. I didn't think once about my lumpy thighs the whole night! I was maid of honor in a wedding just 2 months after Anja was born, and because I tore so much I was only given the OK to exercise a short 2 weeks before the wedding. They don't. But it is a fact that you get totally used to them. And then if you're not wearing them, you miss them. I'm serious. Last summer, I wore a full skirt without Spanx one day and I felt wrong. I wasn't comfortable. I felt jiggly and my thighs were rubbing together. I put my Spanx on and I was comfortable again. Look, it's not as if you're wearing a corset. I know other women who wear them on an everyday basis, and it's not hard to do and its great because you can start wearing clothes that you've stayed away from for years. Try it!
