Moroccanoil™ with GIVEAWAY!

The winner is Anita from A Knitting Junkie!  Congrats, Anita.  I hope Moroccanoil helps with your hair challenges.  And big thanks to Moroccanoil for sponsoring this giveaway!

I’m still seeking a product that will eliminate the frizzies, and I think I finally found it.  Moroccanoil™ makes a line of products that "has the unique quality of instant absorption into hair,
creating an instant shine without leaving an oily residue."  They sent me their Hydrating Cream, Masque, and Intense Curl Cream to try.

Hydrating300_2

The first time I applied the Hydrating Cream ($30) to my damp hair and then styled as usual, I immediately noticed that my hair was silkier, softer, and less frizzy than usual.  I have used it several times, all with the same result.  The other day I didn’t use it, and it was back to its usual misbehaved self. In two words — I’m sold.

I’m anxious to try the Masque, and I’m planning to use the Intense Curl Cream on my daughter’s wavy/curly hair, but I haven’t had the chance yet.

I have used the Hydrating Cream on my daughter’s DRY hair several times, and it really makes it easier to comb after she has slept on it and created a bird’s nest of her wavy/curly locks.

As they say, the proof’s in the pudding, so here you go!  The pudding…  or, er, my hair!  (And please ignore the giant schnoz.  Not sure WHAT that is about.)

WIN IT!  One lucky winner will receive ALL FOUR Moroccanoil™ Products — Moroccanoil™ Treatment,
the signature product in the line, Moroccanoil™ Hydrating Styling Cream, the leave-in styling cream formulated to eliminate frizz, condition and
hydrate, while adding definition and brilliant shine to all hair types, Moroccanoil™ Intense Curl Cream, the leave-in styling cream formulated to enhance and define curly hair, and Moroccanoil™ Intense Hydrating Mask, the deep conditioning treatment for dry and damaged hair.

Just leave a comment on this post with your biggest hair challenge.  We will randomly select a winner on Wednesday!

I heard about this product a couple of days ago from a hairdresser in the area I used to live in. I would love to hear your review on the masque as well. They don’t have the product available in my area, so she is sending me the oil to try! Thanks for your blog!

  2. Shelby says:

Wow, sounds great…Living in Alaska you need something to tame the frizz in the cold. I would love to win these products. Thanks for sharing.

  3. picklemommy says:

The sorta curly, then frizzy, then limp, then CRAZY hair, due to the weather, hormones, and any other excuse I can think of to explain the mop on my head!

  4. cupcake says:

My biggest hair issue is having thick, frizz-prone hair that is curly in some spots, wavy in others, and straight still elsewhere. When my hair frizzes, I look like I have a six-foot afro. It is FABULOUS.

  5. Lydia says:

Oh, this would sooo help me! I have a lot of thin/wavy/frizzy hair (no, not curly!) and I go with straightening it most of the time. B/c of time, I like to use only products and a dryer–straightener only for going out or special occasions. This would be so wonderful to win and try out! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  6. Mainline Mom says:

Girl, you KNOW my hair needs this stuff. And you think Philly is humid??? Nothing compared to Houston.

  7. Kellie says:

Umm, no frizz? Sign me up! My issue is all the little ones that stick up all frizzy – especially since having #3 a year ago it seems as though the little baby hairs have invaded my whole head!

  8. Lisa says:

I’m a hair product junkie. Would love to win this stuff. Humidity does dastardly things to my hair.

  9. Rosemarie says:

My hair could use a little of this. Its not straight but not curly. Enough of a wave to poof out but not enough structure to look good as is. I get it colored and highlighted so the poof intensifies the dryness that comes with color treated hair. At least, that’s how mine is. Would love to give this product a try.

  10. Cathy says:

I have a really hard time keeping the little birdies from swarming aroung my head, that’s how bad I’ve got it. Could anything in the world actually keep them away? Let ME try it!!!

  11. Jennifer says:

I think my biggest hair challenge is dull hair. I am excited about this giveaway!

  12. Grace says:

I never have to check the Weather Channel to know humidity levels. I just go by the frizz level of my hair. It’s never wrong.

  13. Grace says:

I never have to check the Weather Channel to know the humidity. I just go by the frizz level of my hair. It’s never wrong. Maybe these products will send me back to the Weather Channel.

  14. Amanda says:

My biggest challenge is to put volume in this limp, thin, fine hair!!!

  15. Debra Pauley says:

my biggest challenge is dry hair also. ohio has alot of humidity also.

  16. faith24 says:

My hair is terrible- wavy, but very thin and has no volume. I tend to lose a lot of hair too. Maybe this product will make my hair more lively:)

  17. Elle Molina says:

Dry frizzy hair and it gets worse during the winter season, which sucks since there are so many events to attend.

  18. My biggest hair challenge is my two-year-old’s SUPER curly hair. By the time it dries it’s already tangled, and I can’t brush it at all unless it’s wet and conditioned.

  19. Clare says:

my biggest challenge is having dry, frizzy hair where there should be smooth, silky curls!

  20. My biggest hair challenge – post-natal hair stress. I’ve even resorted to chopping my locks to a long short cut in order to preserve a strand or two. No such luck. I could definitely use alittle help with these products!

  21. Lafantasma says:

I have coarse dry hair that really only looks smooth when I blow dry it. Problem is, this treatment only makes it MORE dry. And so we go, round and round. And chemical treatments are a no-no for me. It trashes my hair.

  22. Julie says:

My hair is horribly frizzy and curly. I spend so much time trying to get it smooth and straight, then pray for no rain, humidity, etc or I will turn into a clown wig look-alike. I desperately need to try this stuff, and say to you “pick me, pick me”!!!

  23. glo says:

i cant rememember a good hair day. now that gray[oh no!] hair is popping in- they have a mind of their own and go this way n that…so i need this! blessings, glo

  24. Carla says:

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! can i finally say goodbye to winter frizz? i suspect my hair is like yours, only not as pretty as the pic because of all of the fly-aways! so, that would be wonderful :)

  25. Tammy says:

I have tried this product. My daughter is going to Kenneth Shuler Hair Design school and she can purchase products at the beauty supply shops. My hairdresser had told me about this, so I asked her to pick me up some. It does cure the frizzy hair. I also use it (small amount) before I hot iron my hair. I have been using it about 2 months now, I am happy to say that even when I don’t use the product before I blow dry my hair is not as frizzy as it was before I started using the product. Sometimes I do not use the product before drying my hair. I will blow dry my hair most of the way and when it is still a little damp, I add the product.. It is fantastic..

  26. Amber keith says:

This product is truly Miracle in a bottle. I have THIN, Fine hair and it doesnt make it oily or greasy at all!!! I was worried it would turn out a oily mess but it has great shine. I chemically treat my hair often so this makes it look like natural shine instead of broken off frizz. I have products that do the same effect but leave a awful residue, hard feeling and weight hair down. Moroccanoil leaves it soft and natural. Lady at the hair shop said not to put it near the roots, but I do and still doesnt make it look oily!!
    Awesome product. Worth the price

  27. Oh I’d love to try this!

I don’t mind my waves, and I think I finally have a hairstyle that looks semi-stylish and I don’t have to fight to blow it dry straight, BUT on day one of washing and drying it, it usually does have some frizzies no matter what! I’d love to try the curl creme too, because others I’ve tried when I want to wear it curly are just greasy.

  28. Rebecca says:

I have naturally wavy, VERY thick hair. So I like to flat iron it. So how come my hairdresser can do such an amazing job flat ironing my hair but I can’t seem to get close at home (and I have a professional flat iron). Maybe these products would help.

  29. Christine says:

I live in the Philly area also and this rainy humid stuff we have right now makes me look like a loon.. it is horrible how my hair can get these weird curls around my face and have the all over frizz look.. I need help!

  30. Deirdre says:

I have not straight but yet not too curly kind of hair – everyday is a different hair day and forever trying out new stuff to try and do something with this mop!

  31. Liz Grider says:

My hair salon recently started using this product and we all love it! I think the product we used on my hair (and I love it) is the oil treatment. The owner of my salon is so awesome. I wanted to try it, but not buy such a large bottle ($39) in case I didn’t like it. So, he poured some of his in a little bottle for me to try. It is great. I’ve used similar products in the past, but if you weren’t careful your hair could look greasy. This isn’t like that at all. I’ve been telling all my friends about it.
I went back in last week to the salon and planned to buy some, but they were out! I got a call on Friday that their order was in, so I will definitely need to make a trip over to get some. I’ve just about used all my sample.
I hope to try some of their other products soon too!

  32. Susan says:

Does it take away the body though? Your hair does look shiny and soft though. Might have to give it a try.

  33. roxy43 says:

PLEASE, PLEASE, I HOPE I WIN THIS!

MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER’S HAIR IS VERY WAVY (JUST LIKE DAD’S) AND EVERY MONRING IT’S A HUGE PROBLEM TO BRUSH HER HAIR AND GET IT JUST THE WAY SHE LIKES…

THIS WOULD REALLY HELP TO NOT ONLY SMOOTH OUR HER FRIZZIES, BUT OUR MORNING ROUTINE!

    THANKS!

  34. I have a lot of hair. A lot of bad hair. Course, wavy, dry, frizzy bu only in places and now? Gray. Has little road bumps here and there. Sticks out where it should stick in. Flips in where it should flip out. Fuzzy by my ears, just like Bozo. I have enough hair product under my sink to open a salon. Nothing has ever worked. After 48 years, I have conceded to my hair.

  35. Lola says:

These products sounds like just what I’ve been searching for… it seems as soon as I think I’ve smoothed down the little hairs on top of my head, they start popping up for a sort of birds nest effect. Definitely not what I was going for, so this would be great!

  36. Anita says:

My biggest problem is that I have fine, mostly straight hair, except for around my hairline where I have get this…curls! Aaaarrrggg! These frizzy curls poke through from underneath the rest of my fine, mostly straight hair. I can tame the curly frizzies when I first dry my hair, or with a straightening iron, but if I sweat any at all (and I am quite a sweating machine sometimes)or if the air is too humid (a common problem here in Tennessee), or Heaven forbid if it rains…then out pop those frizzy curls! Quite a problem.

  37. Michelle says:

Like others who commented, I have the dreaded wavy hair syndrome: a non-style that takes work either way, straight or curly! I try to avoid drying it as much as possible because of damage, but that doesn’t work in the winter. Anything that would help those crazy baby-hair flyaways would be awesome!

  38. Eileen says:

I am the frizzy hair queen! Would love to try these products.

    Eileen

  39. Melissa says:

I’m growing my hair out for Locks of Love, and my biggest challenge by far is split ends.

  40. Bennance says:

My biggest hair problem is just that…BIG HAIR. It was cool in the eighties. But it’s not the eighties anymore, and I want my big, frizzy, curly hair to calm down. There are so many products on the market for limp hair. How come noone makes a product promising to take some of the body out of your hair and help it to lie flat??

  41. Brenda says:

I have really thick hair and it’s hard to keep it from GROWING everyday. I’d love to try this.

  42. Jo-Lynne says:

Susan, It does take away some of the body. But I don’t care, lol.

  43. Nichele Lynn says:

My biggest problem is, on the bottom, my hair is curly, on the top its flat! I hate that I cant just get out of the shower and leave the house!!
