While it seems like a great idea to save money, the preservative system used in most mascara will not stand up to adding additional water to it. Preservative systems are normally only effective enough to preserve the original formula. A compromised preservative system can lead to infections of the eye and possibly even loss of vision - much more expensive than a new tube of mascara. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this. Mascara was on my list! My trick: when the bronzer dumps out in the make-up bag, just apply brush directly to the bag and onto the face. That'll save clean up time AND money! Great!
