Clean Up, Clean Up

169D3HL

Sorry, that cute little song that teaches children to clean up their stuff was going through my head as I was trying to come up with a title. This post is not beauty related, but I just had to share my new favorite cleaning tool.

I have mostly hardwood floors in my house, and I was looking for a tool that would do a good job with quick pick ups. I have two dogs, so I have to do something with my floors every day. Who wants to pull out the big, heavy vacuum on a daily basis? I was looking for something light and easy to just grab and pick up messes quickly. I didn’t want a cordless tool, because from my experience, they don’t hold their charge well.

This is when I found the Eureka Quick-Up at Walmart for under $30.00. It weighs less than 10 lbs., but has enough power to pick up any mess. It is versatile because it converts to a handheld vacuum in a matter of seconds. It is also easy to clean out. It has a canister with a filter, and all you have to do is pop out the canister and empty it. To get a fresh scent as you vacuum, I like to put a dryer sheet in the canister. You can also clean the filter by vacuuming it with your big vacuum. My only complaint about this tool is that the cord is not long enough. You have to unplug as you move from room to room. Not a big deal, though, because everything else about it is easy to use.

For Holiday clean-ups or as an everyday tool, spend the $30 and do something to make life easier on you in the New Year. I wish peace and love to all of you in 2010!!
