When the thermometer outside goes above 80 degrees, I become unable to operate a blow dryer. Or a curling or a flat iron.
Unfortunately, I can’t give up on doing my hair completely every day because I still have to go to work.
So what’s a girl to do?
Break out the hair gadgets from 1990.
Anybody remember the Topsy Tail? As seen on TV?
Back in 1994, it was all the rage to wear it the conventional way. The way that made one look like a farmer’s wife. Or something.
Google Topsy Tail Hair. It’s not very contemporary.
And then you flip it upside down.
(As in – pull the ponytail from below so that the loose hair flips over the top.)
Not only does my hair stay far away from my neck…. but it also looks like a cuter, funkier ponytail.
Hot and easy summer hair, right?
I have given it my work-appropriate seal of approval.

I had one of those! I used it all time when I had longer hair. Very cute.
