When offered the opportunity to review Miraclebody Jeans, how in the world could I refuse? I’d heard all about them, and the thought of looking 10 pounds lighter in 10 seconds? How could that not be a good thing?
Let’s preface with the fact the jeans showed up IMMEDIATELY after I shared a cookie with my daughter. So, I think that was the universe’s way of telling me to stop it. But that’s totally beside the point. Let’s talk jeans.
I was provided a pair of the straight-leg Katie jeans in Mystic (dark blue), and immediately upon opening the box, I put them on!
The denim is thin, soft and stretchy, and the color was dark without being – I don’t know, not too denim-y? Do you know what I mean? I’d read some other reviews that the blue was really dark, and I’m used to a certain amount of whiskering, fade, etc. in my jeans. I was very pleased that this dark denim had some dimension to it.
Putting them on, I was happy with the way they felt – except for the fact that, unfortunately, they were super tight and low on my belly. However, that’s not the jeans’ fault; that’s just how I’m built. Jeans are tough for me, especially site unseen. For essentially ordering them blind, though, these were pretty close. I could easily see them fitting better if I dropped a few el-bees, know what I mean? Take a look at the size chart before you buy if you can’t try them on first – it’s pretty accurate (as size charts SHOULD be, but some of them just… aren’t).
Moving on, I loved the stitching and the subtle design on the back pocket. The stitching was complementary without being, you know, too ORANGE! It’s exactly the contrast that I would expect in a non-matching stitch.
One thing you can’t tell from my picture is that these jeans are LONG. That’s a good thing for me; I’m 5’8″. The straight leg is actually cut a little wider than I’d pictured them, but that’s OK. They would work well over an ankle boot, or you could tuck them into your knee-high boots.
I do like them A LOT… I truly think if I lose the 10 pounds I’d like to lose anyway, that these jeans will fit much better. (I mean – ALL jeans would, but especially these!) And then, by Miraclebody Jeans standards, would I then technically be 20 pounds down? That’s my kind of math. Thus, I hereby name my Katie jeans, “The Motivator.” Because I’d love for my next pair to be these:
