Work Looks that Work

Trends this spring are soft and muted, and work wear is no different. According to my latest email from Banana Republic, the office dress code is “a little softer, a little prettier, but always polished.”

Here are three office looks they put together:

Look #1: Instead of a blazer, try a feminine cardigan with your suiting trousers. The Athena iris scarf adds a nice dimension to the outfit, and the floral pattern keeps it fresh and modern.

Look #2: Need a desk to dinner look? This gorgeous silk shift dress can stand alone for a night on the town, and the lace trim pointelle cardigan keeps it work appropriate.

Look #3: This outfit mixes a pin-striped trouser with a floral blouse. The key is to mixing patterns is to keep it in the same color family and make sure one print reads as a solid (the striped trousers) so it doesn’t compete with the focal point of the outfit (the ruffle neck shell). The skinny metallic braided belt adds texture and separates the two patterns.

And today and tomorrow, Banana Republic has women’s work styles up to 40% off ONLINE ONLY, no code needed.
