It’s National Swimsuit Confidence Week – Are You In?

Have you heard about National Swimsuit Confidence Week? While I’m not normally a fan of… well… made-up holidays for marketing sake, I am a huge fan of what this week stands for:

“The swimsuit confidence movement was created to encourage women of all shapes and sizes to embrace their bodies.” – Heather Spohr via Curvy Girl Guide

The Curvy Girl Guide and Lands’ End have teamed up to make it a week to remember, complete with Twibbons, giveaways, special promotions and more. They are hosting a Twitter party on Wednesday, May 25, 1-2 p.m. ET (make sure you add @curvygirltweets to your Twitter feed to participate!), where Lands’ End will be giving away swimsuits, beach towels and special swim discounts.

The Curvy Girls advocate posting a picture of yourself in a swimsuit to join the movement, but I will be the first to admit: I am not that brave. If you are, though, make sure to go here and link up to your post in the comments. In the meantime, though, take a look at some of the cute suits Lands’ End has to offer:

I need a new suit this year for my upcoming vacation, and I will definitely be trying out a Lands’ End or two. I’ve always heard great things about their swimwear, and this movement just solidified my choice.

So, I guess congratulations are in order to Lands’ End. This marketing/PR campaign of yours just earned you a new customer. Well played, Lands’ End. Well played.

All wistful comments regarding Lands’ End are my own, I was not compensated in any way.
