Kids are back in school, so it seems I find myself planning more workouts into my schedule. Just because the children are occupied doesn’t mean I have extra time during the day; it just means I’m feeling extra guilty about all the summer gluttony. So, the workouts have to be squeezed into an already packed day. Cute workout wear becomes essential because I can not always guarantee time for a full wardrobe change between yoga and conference calls.
I love these Bermuda shorts from The Girls collection because they have subtle tummy control, and they’re fitted without being embarrassingly tight so I can show up for school pick up and not feel like I’m dressed inappropriately for car pool.
The Dharma dress from Title Nine is perfect for when you have just enough time to shower after the gym but not really enough time to cool off in order to dress in the layers you know you’ll need for the air that is freezing outside. This dress would be perfect over leggings and tall boots, and you’d even stay warm enough to hit the soccer sidelines after a Saturday workout.
The Title Nine Vine top and Beryl skirt make the perfect workhorse outfit that can go from Yoga studio to Design Studio on days when you’re too busy for two outfits but so busy you need both.
While it’s still warm, or later over capris or leggings, there is the old standby running skirt from Athleta that makes any workout a little more put together.
Now that we’re all dressed so well, hopefully we’ll be more motivated to fit in those workouts to pay for the gluttony of summer and prep for the gluttony of the Holiday Season.
