Rosa Clará Bridal

wedding fashion column on All Things Chic

My favorite wedding dress designer is Rosa Clará. Rosa opened her Barcelona bridal boutique in 1994. Her goal was to design “magical” bridal gowns with flawless tailoring, unique fabrics and impeccable style capable of reflecting the unique personalities of the brides who wore them.

Classic lines, incredible quality, thoughtful details, flowing fabrics… and a price tag to match.

Gorgeous, quality dresses like these just aren't likely to be found at the David's Bridal $100 dress sale.

Their main line prices start at $3000, and their more affordable lines (currently Soft by Rosa ClaráTwo by Rosa Clará, and Alma Novia) start at closer to $1000. Of course if you’re looking for a bargain, you could also buy a preowned Rosa Clará bridal gown for well under $1000.

Every year, the Rosa Clará Group comes up with amazing new designs – both classic and innovative. But I have to admit, as much as I love her 2012 line, my most favorite gown comes from the 2011 collection. It’s called Esencia.

This gorgeous off the shoulder gown with a scalloped neckline, lace detailing over soft layers of tulle, and perfect little buttons down the back would make any girl feel like a princess.

I know that if I were getting married again (to my amazing husband, of course!) and had an unlimited budget, I would fly (in first class, obviously) to the Rosa Clará flagship store on Avinguda Diagonal in Barcelona and ask to be fitted for #163, Esencia. As my Mami always said “Soñar no cuesta nada.” {Dreaming doesn’t cost a thing.}

If you had an unlimited budget for your wedding, what dress would you choose?

About Mrs. Perez

Mrs. Perez is a Peruvian-born, Floridian-bred aspiring Michigander who loves being outdoors but can't stand bugs and creepy crawlies. In February 2010 she got to marry Mr. Perez, the most handsome man on earth.
Even though she has a degree in medieval history, Mrs. Perez works in digital advertising. She spends her free time volunteering as a middle school basketball coach, NFP teacher, and social media manager for The Brides Project. She loves shopping, but shudders at the thought of paying full price. Favorite brands include Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein, and J.Crew - and she usually finds these at her local thrift store or Marshall's. Mrs. Perez blogs at Part-Time Homemaking.
