Target Announces Next Designer Collaboration

Just as the dust from Target’s Missoni collaboration is settling, last night @TargetStyle was hinting who the next designer collaboration would be, even posting a TwitPic of one of the fabrics he would use in the line.

This morning Target announced its next collection will be from Jason Wu!! Wu launched his ready-to-wear collection in 2006, but is perhaps best known for when Michelle Obama chose to wear his white, one-shouldered dress on the night of the Inaugural Ball in 2009.

“The exciting thing about this limited edition collection of affordable women’s wear and accessories is that it allows me to reach a wider audience and bring my designs to people who may not have been able to purchase them before,” said Wu. “My collection for Target is chic and wearable. I think women everywhere will enjoy it.”

Now, I’m seriously excited about this. I just love, love Jason Wu’s classic, feminine pieces. He makes investment pieces – clothes that will be work for a lifetime. I will be waiting outside my Target the day this designer collaboration launches!
