Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ, is an absolute gem. I love staying here – it is one of my favorite hotels on earth! Congress Hall was built 1878 and lovingly renovated by owner Curtis Bradshaw in 2002 – this past week marked the 10th anniversary of the Congress Hall renovation. It has the perfect blend of modern conveniences and old world charm!
Congress Hall is part of the Cape Resorts Group. Each property has a different personality, with various types of accommodations to suit the needs and budgets of most families. They offer everything from the incredibly romantic Virginia Hotel to the family fun spot, The Beach Shack.
There are plenty of activities for the kids, but adults can enjoy themselves as well. Some hotels have gone too far in either direction – the property is either not kid friendly at all, or is so kid friendly that adults can’t enjoy themselves. But Cape May Resorts has a great mix where everyone is catered to and happy!
One of my favorite part is the room keys – inspired by the luggage tags of the early 1900s, when Cape May became a popular summer haven for folks from Philadelphia and New York and D.C.
The Sea Spa is available for those who want some pampering – it is positively divine! They offer everything from pedicures to facials to hot stone massages. Best massage of my life was right here. And the prices are very reasonable – definitely plan to visit while you’re in Cape May.
And the hotel is located right on the beach, and just a 2 or 3-hour drive from the Philly suburbs, New York or D.C.
My room was totally gorgeous – check it out!
I’ve personally toured or stayed in all the properties in Cape Resorts Group and they are all incredible. If you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation this summer – where you don’t have to shell out a bundle on airfare – check out Cape Resorts Group first. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
