Our First Lady Michelle Obama made us proud, as she is positively radiant in J Mendel during the London Olympics reception on Saturday in Buckingham Palace. While she did draw criticism for the $6,800 jacket, I think she looked amazing! Like Kate Middleton, Obama is well known for mixing both “high” and “low” fashion. Last winter, the First Lady was spotted wearing a $39.99 Jason Wu for Target dress, plus she’s worn everything from H&M to J. Crew for media appearances. The metallic jacket was definitely on the “high” side, but with its subtle pattern, the soft pleated white skirt and pointy toe metallic pumps she looks a perfectly elegant and perfectly chic. Perfect for a trip to the palace!
