If you have a love of Chanel cosmetics, you’re not alone. At this year’s Academy Awards, leading ladies who wore makeup by the beloved French design house included Anne Hathaway, Kristen Stewart, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Aniston, Amy Adams, Zoe Saldana, Halle Berry and Jessica Chastain. That’s quite a line-up! From sexy smoky eyes to punchy pink lips and more, there was a stunning look to complement each star’s unique beauty. Let’s talk details on some of our favorite looks.
Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner Anne Hathaway was perfection thanks in part to her skin prep of CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum. Chanel celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee created those effortlessly rosy cheeks on Anne’s creamy complexion were created with the use of CHANEL Powder Blush in Star Dust. What a fitting name! Anne’s tearful “It came true” thank-you speech remained beautiful thanks to a generous coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir, and her perfect pink pout was a result of CHANEL Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color in Seduisanta. Stunning!
Mom-of-two Naomi Watts kept her look regal and glam with an emphasis on the eyes and a soft, pink lip. To get that smooth complexion, celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubrof used CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and a light dusting of CHANEL Powder Blush in Pink Explosion. Naomi had major eye power in the form of CHANEL Style Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner in both Gris and Noir Intense with CHANEL Le Ligne de Chanel Professional Eyeliner Duo in Noir-Lame on the top. This was followed by CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Wear Eyeshadow in Fantasme and Epatant. Her lips were this writer’s personal favorite, CHANEL Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in Mademoiselle. Oh, and if you caught that trendy manicure, it was done by Chanel celebrity manicurist Ashlie Johnson in CHANEL Le Vernis Nail Colour in Frenzy.
Hot celeb Mama Halle Berry was looking gorgeous as always in a custom-made Donatella Versace gown. Swoon! To complement the black and silver of her dress and still make Halle’s features pop, Chanel celebrity makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua employed a neutral yet smoky eye with plenty of lash, well-defined brows, and a beautiful neutral lip. Halle’s eyes were lined in CHANEL Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Espresso and amped up with plenty of Le Volume de CHANEL mascara in Noir. Her brows were kept feminine and soft with CHANEL Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Neutral, a blonder color to avoid making the brows look too harsh. Halle’s lips were prepped with CHANEL Rouge Coco Baume Hydrating Conditioning Lip Balm and shaped with CHANEL Precision Lip Definer in Praline D’or.
