One of my favorite places to shop for beauty, skin, and hair care products is my neighborhood drugstore and the superstore where I buy my groceries. You just can’t beat the convenience, affordable prices, and even the quality is competitive to higher end department stores and retailers. Here are my absolute favorite drugstore hair and beauty products.
1. Remington Tstudio Salon Collection Pearl Digital Ceramic Curling Wand
This curling wand has changed my life and I am not exaggerating in the slightest. The wand costs about $25 and since it has no clip (like a curling iron) it allows you to curl your hair MUCH faster. The curls are also bouncier and stay curled, much like I’d had my done at a salon.
See for yourself in this video: Remington Curling Wand Review Video Tutorial.
2. Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System
This $29.99 skincare product is comparable to the Clairisonic systems (that retail for over $200). It does a fantastic job at cleaning your face and helping your serums and moisturizers do their job. I’ve been in love with it since the day I bought it and use it once or twice daily with great results. See the Olay Pro-X in action in my Olay Pro-X Review/Tutorial.
3. Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips
These dry polish nail strips come in many trendy prints, colors, and patterns and can be found in your nearest drugstore for about $9.99. They go on beautifully and everything you need to apply them is in the box. They stay on for up 10 days (or as long as you can stand before your nails grow out or you’re ready to try a new set).
Here are my nails sporting “misbehaved”.
4. L’Oreal One-Sweep Eyeshadow
I honestly didn’t have high hopes for this product but I had the chance to use it after receiving it in a swag bag and I’ve used it almost everyday since. I love the insta-dimensional look that I’d normally need at least 3 individual colors to achieve and while the applicator is likely smaller than your eyelid, just go over the missed areas a second swipe. Totally worth the $8.99 price tag in my opinion.
5. Borba Skin Balancing Water
I have been drinking Borba’s Skin Balancing Water for years now and I recently saw the full line of Borba products at Walgreens. I love this this vitamin-laced, calorie-free (as well as aspartame free) beautiful from the inside out beverage. Individual bottles are $1.99 and 7-pack drink mixes are $8.99.
What are some of your favorite drugstore beauty products?

I just found out about those nail polish strips… I’m completely obsessed. Must try them asap.
Ohhh, those nail strips look like fun! My new favorite product is this anti-dark circle eye roller from Garnier: http://www.garnierusa.com/_en/_us/our_products/product.aspx?tpcode=OUR_PRODUCTS^PRD_SKINCARE^SKIN_RENEW^SKIN_RENEW_DISCOVER^SKIN_RENEW_RTN3&prdcode=P19021. I was just using the regular one, but this one has concealer in it too. It really does make a difference!
Wow, I love the idea of that wand. Although, it does kind of scare me. However, your hair looks beautiful and the price is right so I think I might just try it. Great video post!
Thanks for the loreal rec. I normally just put two eyeshadow colors on…top and a bottom…boring, but it is a hard habit to break. This might be the perfect product for me!
