On my birthday this year, I made a pact with myself that I would celebrate my 40th birthday by rocking the dance floor in a pair of Christian Louboutins. When I was young and childless, I wore shoes like these all the time. Heels with jeans. Heels to work. Heels with skirts to go out at night. I loved the look of Louboutin because there is literally a pair for everything. I was too poor then to actually afford them, so I settled for a fabulous pair of black peep-toe Nine West knockoffs that were made before He patented THAT sole.
Now that I’m chasing three kids, the occasions for stilettos are far fewer but I still dream of that red sole. They are like art, Louboutins, so you pay the same as you would any other masterpiece. So my pact includes saving money, every day from now until my 40th birthday. That’s one dollar, for the next 1058 days. (What, you thought I’d be 4o soon?)
I have my piggy bank ready. So here’s what I have my eye on for when it’s full:

I would die, DIE for a pair of those. 🙂
Gorgeous!! Countdown is on. Can’t wait to see what you buy for your bday!
