When it comes to my beauty routine, I am pretty low maintenance. For me it’s all about the clothes and accessories and I keep the cosmetics as simple as humanly possible. I need things I can apply rapidly and without the need for precision or taking extra time to pick the right color.
That’s where I have fallen head over heels for one particular product for my lips that I can throw in my pants pocket and swipe on anywhere without even looking in a mirror. Sounds like Chapstick, I know, but I swear that Lancome’s Juicy Tube Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss in Touched by Light can make you instantly look like a million bucks.
This sheer champagne color with gold flecks is totally neutral and so reflective that it can give your lips a visual plumping effect. I personally like to apply it slightly outside of my lipline, especially on top. It’s not too sticky and doesn’t taste weird at all. Best of all is the fact that it goes with everyone’s skin tone, hair color and clothing choices!
Here’s a close-up shot of my lips with nothing on them.
And here are my lips after applying the Lancome Juicy Tube lip gloss in Touched by Light. The effect is subtle but in person it makes a big impact.
Now I know this whole post totally flies in the face of Jo-Lynne’s post yesterday about bold lip colors being the big trend for spring, but for everyday on-the-go beauty I vote for totally easy and neutral lip gloss like this one from Lancome.

oooooooo – may need to try that!!
I know they say bold lips are in, but I still love a nice, neutral gloss for every day. I want to try this!
You’re so gorgeous! And I also love a nice lip gloss. 🙂
Awww Mel, you are too sweet 🙂
Oh! I just love neutral lips anyway. don’t care what the trend is. LOL And I LOVE Lancome’s products.
Brave of you to do a close-up of your lips in the winter too! Looks like you’ve been wisely moisturizing 🙂
