Maidenform is a brand that has been around for as long as I can remember. They have always been a name that represents quality undergarments, but not necessarily style and innovation — until now.
When someone from Maidenform reached out and offered to send me some of their shape-wear and undergarments to try, I was a bit skeptical but I agreed. I gave them my sizes and pretty much forgot about it until their box arrived at my door. They took the time to box the products and wrap them in tissue, which was a fun surprise. It was like opening a gift!
And when I looked inside, I was immediately intrigued. The first thing I noticed was a gorgeous turquoise bra by Lilyette (I assume Maidenform owns Lilyette?)
Now, let me be frank. I don’t usually get much choice when it comes to color of bra. My bras are more of the over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder than sexy lingerie. So I was delighted to find a bra in my size in such an attractive color. The other thing I loved about it? It is a minimizer! So when I wear it, not only is it pretty, but it tucks the girls in so they are more flattering under my tops. LOVE.
Funny thing, too. I usually dread wearing a new bra the first few times because they are usually so stiff and scratchy — not this one! It is seamless and so very soft. It had the comfort of being worn in already and the support of a brand new bra. Score!
There was another bra in the box that is not a minimizer. It fits well and is flattering too, but I always go for the turquoise one.
The other surprise were the boy shorts they sent me.
I am incredibly picky when it comes to underwear, and I only have one certain kind that I wear — until now. I am planning on buying more of these asap because they are so comfortable. I can wear them all day and they NEVER ride up. NEVER. They feel like I’m wearing nothing. I love them. They also create a very minimal pantyline — a pet peeve of mine. These are about as good as it gets without resorting to something without much, ahem, coverage at all.
Finally, they sent a piece of shape-wear that has quickly become a regular in my rotation. I often wear shape-wear camis under form fitting clothing, even if it is just a casual tank I’m wearing around the house. I can’t stand belly flab, and that is where my weight tends to settle. The Flexees Fat Free Dressing Tank is basically a black tank that is very tight and form-fitting. It tucks into jeans and pants and stays put and doesn’t cling to my shirts. It’s a great piece to have.
Suffice it to say, I was quite impressed with the Maidenform products I received! If you haven’t tried Maidenform in a while, they’re definitely worth another look!

Have you tried the Flexees Fat Free Dressing leggings? I bought them at Costco on a whim and fell in LOVE. Best shapewear/leggings, ever.
no, but they sound great! and maidenform owns flexees!! lol.
What is the style for the boyshorts? I’m looking on the Maidenform and can’t find the ones that look like the ones you pictured.
Thanks!
