Pinspiration: Essential Oils

I’ve been reading a ton lately about essential oils. I was doing some research on Pinterest about how to use them and where. I’m particularly interested in Lavender Oil – I’ve heard it really helps with sleep, something our family struggles with.

But I see essential oils everywhere. And if I’m going to be using oils on my kid’s skin to treat sunburn or putting in my bath or something, I need to know its safe. Like NZLavender:

NZLavender’s pure lavender essential oil is 100% pure and natural, making it ideal for use in aromatherapy. We are New Zealand’s largest commercial lavender farm, producing the finest quality lavender essential oil, which we distribute all around the world. Our smooth, balanced and award winning unique lavender essential oil is the perfect choice for aromatherapy; used in sleep support, baby care, stress management and healthy living.
These flowers are the source of NZLavender’s specialised hypoallergenic, pharmaceutical-quality lavender essential oil – known for its soothing, healing and balancing properties. There are many different types of lavender, but our special variety of “true lavender” has been selected for its unique oil properties. As a result, our NZLavender oil is highly sought after as arguably the world’s first hypoallergenic, pure unadulterated lavender oil.

Essential Oils ARE amazing – but please be careful and make sure the ones you are using are pure and safe!! I began diffusing it upstairs in our home to help promote good sleep. And it’s really helped! I think the kids are falling asleep quicker and are waking up more rested!

Just a drop has incredible calming properties – just put a few drops on a cotton ball and slip it in your pillowcase or just inhale a little sniff and see how your mood changes.

Have your tried essential oils?

disclosure: I received a sample nzlavender to review. all opinions are my own.

  1. I just ordered my first kit of essential oils from Doterra. So far I’m very happy with the results. I’m using for sleep and hormone balance.
