What to Wear for a Cold Spring Morning

I imagine most of us have similar visions of what spring should look like. Easter Morning. Warm, sunny day. Little girls in eyelet dresses carrying white wicker baskets while hunting colorful eggs in the backyard. Mom in a lovely spring dress and her favorite sandals.

But what if it’s not exactly warm on Easter Sunday? Or even heading into May? (What is WITH the weather anyway?) What do you wear then? Here’s my plan.

A spring dress in bright colors, with a colorful cardigan. A cheerful necklace would be a fun complement. If needed, add a trench coat and silk scarf. And of course, nude pumps.

Avoid dark-colored heels at all costs. There’s nothing springlike about a pair of black, pointed-toe heels. What about you? What are you wearing this spring?
