Being 10 weeks postpartum means it’s time for me to get back in the game of getting in shape. I’ve been slowly easing into it as my endurance and strength are virtually non-existent post baby. I’m working through a Couch to 5k program (have you heard of this app? It’s awesome. It guides you through each program and voices over your music to tell you when to run or walk. No more keeping track of time!). And have been balancing the running/walking with some barre work to strengthen the muscles around my hips and joints again. I signed up for Barre3 (the online barre workout) a few weeks ago and so far am loving it! It’s so hard to find time to drive to the gym when you have two little kids. So being able to sneak in a quick 10-30 minute workout in my living room works for my schedule.
Of course, starting to work out again means I need some new clothing for motivation – and had to go pick up some new favorites!
Old Navy compression crops – $29…these help feel like everything is being kept in place. And I love that they hold your lower abs in so you keep everything tight while working out.
Athleta focus bra – $12…SUPER soft which again, helps when nursing. It provides the support I need but is still comfortable.
Old Navy performance tank – $20…breezy, lightweight and not tight on the chest (super important while nursing!)
Under Armour shorts – $19…my go-to shorts for working out, running or just lounging!
Nike Air Relentless 5 – $70…lightweight with great arch support
C9 Champion no-show socks – 6 pack for $13…these socks are comfortable and don’t wear thin after a few washes. And most importantly, don’t slip down into my shoes when running.
