The other day, I was wandering the aisles of Trader Joes. While my 4 year old touched every single protein bar on the shelves, I browsed the shelves behind me. I was in the aisle with shampoos, lotions, and other beauty products.
Now, Joe has never really steered me wrong with his food products, but I’ve had some terrible experiences with shampoo and conditioner bought there years ago. I’m talking ” ten times worse than any free shampoo from the Motel 8″ kind of bad. So I’ve never paid much attention to any of those other products. But this time, something caught my eye.

It’s Trader Joe’s Lavender Salt Scrub.
For years, my husband bought me an awesome salt scrub from The Body Shop. It had bergamot in it, and it was divine. At about $30, it was a treat. Sadly, they no longer make it, and I haven’t found a salt scrub I love that much since then.
But the TJ scrub caught my eye for a few reasons. First, it’s lavender scented, which is my very favorite scent in the world. And, could I be reading the price tag right? Only $5.99??
For that price, I’d give it a try.
Let me just say right now, I LOVE IT!
The scrub left my skin feeling SO soft and smooth. My hubby even loved how my skin smelled after using it.
If you like lavender, you’ll love the scent of this scrub. It has a fresh, naural lavender essence, not that fake perfume scent. The container is plastic, and the lid flips open. In my opinion, that was a stroke of genius, beacuse who wants to unscrew a lid with wet hands? I’d advise shaking the container before opening, to mix some of the oils. Like any other scrub, there will be a layer of oil at the top of the scrub when it’s opened. Youll need to stir it around for a second with your finger to get it all mixed up. Otherwise you’ll be using too much of the oil, and there won’t be enough left towards the bottom of the jar. I tend to use scrubs in the bathtub, and after a few uses the tub needs a little scrubbing to get the oil off. But can you beat $5.99?
Really, I love this stuff. Joe hasn’t steered me wong!

Kristin, I love this stuff too! My grandmother LOVED lavender (and so do I) so I gave her some of this for Christmas. She loved it and I snuck some too. 🙂 Sadly, no TJ’s in Hickory, but I’m about to find one in Charlotte.
