PUSH! Delivery Gowns Review

I spent no less than the entire 40 weeks and 2 days of my pregnancy excitedly planning and preparing for that special day when my baby would arrive.  As a fashion/style blogger and connoisseur of stylish things, I kinda wanted to do the whole “labor and delivery thing” in style….my style.

I had been searching stores and online for the perfect delivery gown when I was approached by PUSH! Delivery Gowns to do a product review, and after checking out their website, I excitedly obliged.  They were modern, practical, stylish, and I knew that it would look perfect in all those pictures I’d be taking (and looking at forever and posting on facebook, flickr, etc).

I chose the “Lesley” gown, a black/white damask print with lime trim and a ribbon belt, for my big delivery day.  I gave birth at a birth center that is B.Y.O.G. (Bring Your Own Gown), but it is also designed to be completely functional for the hospital as well.

The gown was very figure flattering, and my midwife said it was the cutest thing she’d seen anyone labor in.

Walking through contractions with my doula in my delivery gown.

After baby boy was born (after a short, intense 1.5 hour labor), we were able to enjoy skin-to-skin bonding by simply unfastening the shoulder snaps of the gown.

It was also perfect for breastfeeding and recovering…..so perfect that I wore it in the days I spent at home recovering from the birth, and I still wear it 4+ weeks later.

At $65, it’s a great splurge or gift for that special mom-to-be.

Disclosure: I was provided with a delivery gown to facilitate this post.  All opinions are my own.
