Fashion Friday: How to Wear Winter White

Winter White is an absolute classic – you cannot go wrong. Forget that whole “no white after Labor Day” nonsense. You can pull off winter white by following just a few rules:

  • For winter, you want to look for off-white, ivory, and cream tones rather than pure white. (Although a bright white shirt is a great layering piece.)
  • Fabric is key – look for white knits, thick cotton, wools, even cream lace can look fabulous in winter. Save the linen and sheer fabrics for spring.
  • Accessories can really winterize your look as well. Add boots, knit scarves or even a winter white coat.
  • Add a touch of fur – white with fur accents is a classic winter look!

Make sure that you mix it up to keep thing interesting. Wear wools with a knit or cream sweater with a white shirt… mix in light tans and greys as well.

You can’t go wrong with classic like winter white!

Where can I find the greyish cowlneck sweater on the winter white page? It’s gorgeous!
    Thanks!

  2. Even as a kid my mother always had, and bought me “winter white”. It is so classic, and beautiful. I think of it as a staple color in the winter, because I always had it. It makes me think maybe I need to find a straight skirt in winter white.

  3. I love that first long dress. I know I would have it a mess in to time but it looks amazing!

  4. Love Fashion Friday!
