Fashion Friday: CAbi for Fall

Last week, I went to a fabulous party at The London Hotel in NYC hosted by the lovely Nicole and Andrea. Featuring CAbi clothing.
We got to pick out what we wanted.

No joke. I love my life.

It was hard to decide. I went with this lovely Ingenue Cami. It looks so great on – the cut is super flattering – and it will be a perfect layering piece come winter.

And the Curry Skirt was impossible to pass up. It looks so nice on – the material is fabulous. I wore it all day around NYC in steamy weather and this skirt did not have a single wrinkle. Not to mention, every time I turned around, someone was complimenting me on it.

I wore mine with a heather brown cardi and cami, a fab statement necklace and my super chic BlogHer nametag. I think the nametag really makes the outfit, don’t you? Why didn’t I take it off?

I’m seriously contemplating this Chenille Jacket. This style is always chic, although it is even more trendy than usual right now, and it can be dressed up or down, so this would be in my closet for life.

I loved this sweater… so so gorgeous. With my gray boots for fall??? YUM!!

These jeans are fabulous. Perfect color, perfect style, would look amazing on just about anyone. I love how high the waist is – very flattering and would eliminate muffin top.

Which one is your favorite?

disclosure: i attended an event hosted by CAbi and received clothing and a swag bag free of charge. as always, all opinions are my own.

  1. That skirt does look amazing on you! And I saw a sweater coat similar to the one above at Zara this week that I nearly scooped up.

I always wondered if those women blogger conferences had any fashion related events – now I know!

  2. I got the skirt too! I also grabbed the sweater because I am a sucker for a good cardi. It was such a great time!

    • I wanted to get the cardi, but Whitney (@WhitneyMWS) knows my closet so well that she wouldn’t let me. She was like “You have too many sweaters! Get the skirt!” LOL! That’s why you need to shop with friends!

  3. Such stylish finds. Loved that yellow pencil skirt, gives a great pop with a classic silhouette.

  4. you look smashing….blogher tag and all…

  5. Mel, that skirt is amazing! You look fabulous in it!

  6. Chiming in another “thumbs-up” on the skirt. What a classic piece, but in such a fun, unexpected color! Love it!

    • Thanks, Alissa! I need to wear yellow in a skirt or pants – if I wear it close to my face, I look too washed out. You would look FAB in yellow though!!

  7. Melissa – you look smashing in your Curry Skirt! We are so thrilled you enjoyed the event and love your new CAbi pieces! Thanks for the lovely post!

  8. You look amazing in that pencil skirt! Gorgeous! 😉 I’ve never purchased CAbi (way out of my budget), but I did try on a pair of their jeans at the thrift store a few weeks ago. The fit was beautiful, except for the fact that they were about 6 inches too long! 😉

I have a statement necklace giveaway going on if you would like to come enter! 😉
