Somewhere in my perusing I came across a review of nail polish from the Lippman Collection. Oh wait! Here it is. Love me some Google.
Michelle from All Lacquered Up reviewed two shades of nail polish from the Lippmann Collection’s new fall shades.
It was Rahab (the ink-dipped blue) that got my attention. She describes it as "sheer with a jelly finish". I wasn’t totally sure what that was, but with my recent passion for blue nail polish, I just had to try some. I have never, EVER spent this much on a bottle of nail polish, but I impulsively ordered Rehab as well as a regular creme polish, Dark Side of the Moon.
I love, adore, and otherwise worship Dark Side Of The Moon.

It is described on the Lippmann website as "absolutely aubergine", and that is a perfect description. Not black, not burgundy, not plum, but something in between. It reads as a neutral, which is nice, so it goes with everything — y’all know how I hate to clash.
The Rahab is interesting, and I like it (see All Lacquered Up for a great photo of nails painted in this color) but the major drawback for me is that it requires three or four coats to get the look I want. And let’s face it — it’s all I can do to find the time to apply two coats of regular creme nail polish without nicking it or smudging it, but FOUR!??? You’ve GOT to be kidding me. I do use Rahab, but only rarely.
Dark Side of the Moon, on the other hand? It’s my newest passion.
