Goddessy Cream by GoddessyRx

Photobucket "This one of a kind product produces gorgeous results. No other cream on the market has a higher concentration of DMAE and Retinol proven to diminish wrinkles.  Also contains the powerhouse anti-oxidants CoQ10, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Cu Complex. Restoring your skin’s precious youth overnight with the soothing and healing powers of orange neroli aromatherapy oil and deeply moisturizing your skin with the all natural emollients in grape seed oil, avocado oil, and soybean oil."

And at $69/ounce, it also cooks your meals, does all the dishes, puts the kids to bed on time and brings you a nightcap.

Okay.  Not really

I know.  Bummer.

I’ve been using Goddessy Rx’s Goddessy Cream mornings and evenings for two weeks and I’m still waiting for my skin’s precious youth to be fully restored.  Since the Godessy Cream contains Retinol – a leading anti-wrinkle ingredient, I specifically apply it to the area just beneath my eyes, right where the outer eye area meets the top of my cheekbone, where I am developing little crosshatched lines – laugh lines or crows feet, y’all choose – but I also smooth it a little more sparingly all over my face because further inspection of the product description of Goddessy Cream at Amazon.com told me it’d be great for protecting my combination skin from breakouts.

After these two weeks of almost religious application, I do see a slight improvement in my laughable/crowish crosshatches, although some days that’s hard to notice because just above that area is where I keep my sleepless-night eyebags steamer trunks.  Deeper lines like those around my nose/mouth and on my forehead haven’t been noticeably affected (yet?).

My skin, though, is clear AND moisturized, which you’ll know is a difficult combination to score if you have, well, combination skin (meaning skin that is oily in some places and dry in others).  And mine has been particularly feisty since the baby got here, springing up in ugly red pimples here and there on a daily basis, so I have to give Goddessy a big high five for helping me out in that department.

What I really love about the cream is its delicate, lovely scent and its very light, almost whipped consistency.  It goes on so silkily (new word alert!) with no stickiness, and my face drinks it in quickly and just feels soft and fresh, not oily or smothered.  SO NICE!

So overall, a nice product.  Not quite as miraculous as I’d hoped it’d be in the wrinkle-reduction area, but still a winner for moisturizing and maintaining combination skin.   I probably won’t be able to justify the $69 pricetag any time soon, but if you’ve got that kind of money to spend and you’d like a really nice cream for your a-little-bit-wrinkly combination skin, you might give this one a whirl.

I got my free sample of Goddessy Cream and several other nifty beauty products I’ll be reviewing over the next few weeks in a pretty little Beauty Bag from Best in Beauty (dot com).  Check out that site, too!

And come see me at FriedOkra any time.
