about us

Fullscreen capture 9142010 24825 PM-3 Hi! My name is Melissa. I am thirty-one, married to a terrific guy for over 10 years, I am a full time mom to three children, Ellie (7), Gracie (6) and Colin (2), and a small business owner.  We live in a little house in a suburb outside Philadelphia.

 I founded bStylish in 2010 because of my love fashion and beauty products and could talk about it all day.  I love helping busy moms look beyond the yoga pants and embrace their inner fashionista! (Although I confess to owning a rather impressive collection of yoga pants.)

I love handbags, shoes, boots, a fabulous pair of jeans, funky jewelry, boots and anything with ruffles. Did I mention boots? Cause I love boots. I own a disproportinate amount of black sweaters. And dark trouser jeans. I’m trying to wear more colors… really! While I love to peruse through Neiman Marcus and drool over designer goods, most of my clothes are bought on the cheap.

You can find me on my persoanl blog, Girlymama, where I write about everyday life balancing kids, marriage and a business. I am also founder and managing editor of Thoroughly Modern Mommies, a review blog that helps moms navigate the thousands of options available to them. I also run a graphic design business, Eliza Grace Design.  I also serve as fashion editor on Philly Burb Moms Blog and also be found on Twitter as girlymamamel.

*****

Laura Hey! I’m Laura.

I’m 25 years old and I live with my Police Officer hubby in a teeny-tiny {we have a single red light} town in Maryland. It’s ok though, because I can get to Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York City relatively painlessly.

Fashion has always been a means by which I express myself, although sometimes I wish I had chosen a different method. {we all remember the greasy flannel days of the 90’s, right?}

Anyway.

I would love to be able to shop regularly in designer fashion, but as you can imagine, that’s not really possible on my budget. So I do the best I can with what I have. Just like you! But I’m not even going sit here and pretend that if I had an extra $1,000 lying around, I wouldn’t go buy myself a pair of Christian Louboutin’s. Because it’s not nice to lie.

I wear a lot of black, gray, brown, cream, and white. I make no apologies for this. Because I look good in those colors. On {rare} occasion, you may see me sneak some {very light, almost nude} pink, {very dark, almost black} purple, and {baby} blue into my wardrobe. And if I’m feeling really adventurous: {mint} green.

To learn more about me you can visit my personal blog. But be warned: it’s not all ruffle shirts and knee-high boots over there; it’s real life. Follow me on twitter: I’m @fancythis.

Nicole-1
Hi, I’m Nicole!  I’m am a 25-year-old newlywed, recently relocated back to the bustling suburbs of Cleveland.  I work full-time for a creative company, part-time as a photographer and the rest of my time as mom to one spoiled dog.

My style is three-fold: trendy conservative for work,  whimsical and chic for daily life and comfy, cozy for home (hello leggings and boyfriend cardigans!)  I’m a firm believer that black is the new black and my closet definitely reflects that.  While I throw in muted colors here and there, neutrals are my best friend as they take me from work to play seamlessly.

You’ll regularly find me coveting booties, leggings, skinny jeans, cardigans, stilettos, cardigans and flouncy skirts.  I would spend every last penny to fill my closet with Elizabeth & James, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Louboutin, but my budget doesn’t quite allow for such splendid purchases.  So I’m always on the hunt for inspired pieces that are more in my price range and work with my style.

You can follow my love of life, photography and shoes at Busy Girl.  Or for the short-and-sweet version, check me out on twitter – I’m @busygirlnicole!
