Melissa Angert is a full time mom to three children, Ellie (7), Gracie (6) and Colin (2).  In 2006, she started her popular personal blog, Girlymama, where she has earned a reputation for offering an honest look at life and the realities juggling motherhood and a business. Through her writing, she shares her passions for her family, her friends, her faith, and her mild fashion obsession. She has enjoyed working on campaigns with LOFT, Kendra Scott Jewelry, Miraclebody Jeans, Assets and Shabby Apple and was recently named as an ambassador for Ralph Lauren. She is also a contributing writer at MomSpace, as well as serving as fashion editor on Philly Burb Moms Blog.

Melissa has a terrible weakness for all things fashionable and is always on the lookout for the latest trends which she loves to share with her loyal audience. She is well-known around the Philadelphia area as being the fashionista and go-to style consultant in the large mom blogging community.

Melissa runs a very popular fashion column on Fridays on Girlymama that is syndicated on 4 other websites with a readership of over 15,000. Fashion Events

Melissa is available to help plan and host fashion events. She recently planned and hosted a BlogHer Style party in Philadelphia that got fantastic feedback from both the attendees and the store she worked with.  Ten highly influential bloggers gathered to shop for the BlogHer ’10 conference and had a fantastic time getting styled up for their big weekend! The tweets were flying and the writeups were extremely positive. (See write-ups on Girlymama (my site), Philly Social Media Moms, Classy Mommy (she also did a review), Just Precious, Water Water Everywhere, The Centsible Life, Chester County Moms, and Musings of a Housewife) She loves giving her readers get a fashion boost and loves helping moms look beyond the yoga pants and find styles that works for them. She is willing to travel on behalf of brands.

Rates will vary based on number of hours required and length of contract.

Fashion Friday Sponsored Posts
Your brand or website will be featured in a Fashion Friday post, currently seen on 4-5 websites every week. Posts include at least three links and pictures highlighting your brand to Girlymama readers. Melissa is very selective on Fashion Friday sponsors and will only feature brands she feels are a good fit for her readers.

Cost: starting at $100. Higher if no sample products are received for review.

Brand Ambassador:
Melissa is available as a brand ambassador, or brand spokesperson. She has experience with sharing brands on television and live events, as well as on her sites and promotes products she loves in her Amazon store. Please contact Melissa to discuss possible representation. She is willing to travel on behalf of brands as well.

Giveaways: A post featuring a giveaway of your item for my readers. If you wish the giveaway to accompany a review, then an additional product must accompany the giveaway item to facilitate my review. Rules must accompany giveaway, and random.org will chose the winner.
Giveaway posts include at least 2 links to your site. See a sample giveaway here.
Cost: $50 with content produced by brand, $100 for content created by Melissa. Giveaways in conjunction with a review are free.

Product Reviews: Most reviews and giveaways are hosted on Thoroughly Modern Mommies, but fashion/beauty related products are posted on b*stylish as well. After we accept a product to review, we will try to remember to let you know when we receive it.  If you don’t hear from us within several days, feel free to follow up.  Usually it has slipped our minds, but there have been instances when the product was delayed.

We prefer to write reviews based on personal experience with products. We find that our readers are more interested in products we have tested and can vouch for personally, and we can only recommend a produce with confidence if we have had been able to give it a thorough test drive. We generally do not return products. We may make an exception to this policy if an honorarium is provided.

Conference Sponsorship:
Melissa is currently seeking sponsorships to BlogHer ’10, Blissdom ’11 and Disney Social Media Moms conferences. She is willing to travel to other conferences on behalf of brands as well.
Sponsorship covers the cost of travel, hotel, conference ticket, and any meals. Should you wish to have Melissa represent you at a booth, or wish to provide wardrobe sponsorship, she will charge a reduced fee.
