What’s on my wish list this season? Honestly, I’m pretty simple. I’ll take a pair of boots — or ten. Can a girl ever have enough? Here are some of my top picks:

I fell in love with these boots (Roxy Desperado Boot (Swell, $79)) the first time I saw them. I’ve had to give up wearing shoes with high heels due to some bunion issues, which totally stinks because I love a good heel. But these boots are a fun compromise. They manage to look relaxed and chic at the same time.
Now, if I could rock a heel without being in pain for days after, I would totally consider this pair (Buckle-Strap Boot (Spiegel, $99)) LOVE.

I’ll admit it took me some time to come around to the idea of the riding boot. But now that I have a pair in black, I’ve seen first hand just how versatile they are. So what if my dad keeps asking me when I’m heading out to ride my horse? Colin Stuart Riding Boot (Victoria’s Secret, $99)

I’m really digging the whole slouchy boot look this season. The great thing about these boots is that you can wear them several different ways — more bang for your buck! The heel would cause me pain after a while, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t look super on you! Skechers Convertible Boot (Victoria’s Secret, $85)

Merrell makes comfortable shoes. I bet these boots would be no different. The heel isn’t too extreme and being that it’s a wedge it would provide more support. I’m thinking I could wear these without issue. Larkspur Boot by Merrell (Athleta, $185)
Finally, I’ve never been able to get on board with the whole UGG trend. I just don’t think they look great on my feet. But these Chalet Faux Shearling Boots from Land’s End are an excellent compromise — they’re comfy and cute. (Land’s End is not letting me import the picture here, so be sure to click over, because at $59.50 they are very reasonable and have excellent reviews). In fact, I just purchased a pair to stick under the tree for me.
