i swear by my: davines haircare products

I go to a pretty fancy salon to get my hair trimmed and highlighted.

There are many things in life where knock-offs or going the "thrifty" route are musts. You can find great clothes and shoes at a discount and even with food, sometimes the store brand really isn't all that bad.

There are just some things better left to the professionals. Hair is one of them.

A box dye job is never as nice as one done by someone who studied to do it for you, {not to mention with products that are actually good} and a trim isn't something you should allow anyone who works for the Hair Cuttery to perform on your head.

Trust me. A great cut and color can go a long way.

Pardon me while I step off of my soapbox.

So, at the salon I go to, they use davines hair products.

The first thing I noticed was the smell. It'll get you every time. But then my hair dresser told me that their products are organic and that Drew Barrymore uses them and I was more than sold. Oh, right – they also do wonderful things to my hair.

Y'see, my hair likes to be frizzy for some reason. I have no curl in my hair; it's bone straight. But it likes to be frizzy. davines does not allow it to be. My hair also likes to fall flat 2 hours after I finish primping for the day. davines does not allow that either. Basically, it's the best stuff ever.

Here's what I use religiously:

Davines1. Love/Shampoo for harsh/frizzy hair 2. No.9 Structuring Mist 3. Love/Conditioner for wavy/curly hair {this was actually reccommended by my hair stylist. she said that the shampoo for frizzy hair will moisturize my hair, but the conditioner for curly hair has less moisturizer in it so it won't weight my hair down. GENIUS!}

I know what you're next question is. Price.

Why is it always about the money?

This stuff will set you back a pretty penny. I think when I was buying those little teeny-tiny bottles in my salon, I was paying about $30 each. {the spray mist was a little cheaper} BUT! Good ol' Amazon has the SUPER-SALON-SIZED bottles for sale for around the same price or a little more. They last FOREVER and I'm one of those people who has to wash her hair every stinkin' day or it gets greasy. So if you don't, boy are you lucky!

Totally worth it for great hair, every day.
