2011: New Year, New Me!

It’s the first Monday in January, which means we are all a couple of days into our resolutions to Change! Everything! and Be! Better! This! Year!

…And if you’re like me, it’s the 3rd day of the year and you’re already wavering on half of your yearly commitments and 95% ready to throw in the towel. Am I right?

This year, I decided to make a few non-painful, live-better resolutions that will help to make 2011 a better, more beautiful year.

  1. Drink more water. Not only will it make my skin prettier, but it will probably help me lose 5 pounds. Ten? Right.
  2. Sleep regularly. Your body is like the sun – it likes to rise and set on a strict schedule. I shall attempt to respect my body (and sanity!) more by trying to sleep regularly – no more late night internet trolling!
  3. Pamper myself more. Even if it means digging out my pumice stone out from the bowels of messiness under my sink for a little DIY pampering… a little more effort on myself will put more pep in my step than that morning Coke. Or four.
  4. Less junk, more green. I was a healthy eater until the stress of work crept up on me around Christmas…. just say no to the Golden Arches! (Or any other fast food weakness of your choice.)

Those are my beauty resolutions for 2011, and I know that I’m way more likely to stick to these than my goal of jogging twice a week.

Do you have any beauty resolutions for 2011? I want to hear them!
