LiQWD Hair Products: A Review

Fact: I’m a hair-care snob.

I go to a professional stylist once every eight weeks or so, and I use salon-quality products on my hair. {Hint: if you can buy it in the regular hair care section of your local Walmart, it is NOT salon-quality. Period.} I’m a firm believer in quality vs. quantity, and this is one area in which I don’t skimp.

So when the opportunity to try LiQWD Hair Products came along, I snatched it up.

I tend to have dry-ish hair {because of the blonde highlighting} so I decided to try out their Hydrating line of hair products. I have tons of great things to say, so let’s get to it, shall we?

Smell: Believe it or not, this is important to me. I don’t like smelling like a bed of roses, but I don’t want to smell like men’s cologne either. LiQWD products have a smell that’s slightly reminiscent of Banana Boat products, which was a nice pop of summertime in the middle of February.

Consistency: Thick, rich, and creamy. And I’m not even talking about chocolate. A little goes a long way, because there’s just so much packed into one little pump of shampoo/conditioner.

Obviously, those are just surface-y things to worry about, but they even got the important stuff right. I’ll be honest – sometimes, even with salon-quality products, I find that shampoos and conditioners that are “hydrating” are very heavy, and it’s not long before my hair is flat, flat, flat. This was not the case with LiQWD. In fact, my hair even looked good the next morning, which, I think we can all agree, is quite impressive.

The other thing that I appreciated was the Professional Smoothing Catalyst. This stuff promises that you’ll have a smooth ‘do after just blow-drying. I gotta tell ya, they were right.  I’m neurotic and like super-smooth hair, but after using the smoothing catalyst and then blow-drying, I literally only used my flat iron to make it ultra-smooth. It only took me 30 seconds to a minute {no kidding} to do what I needed, and I was using a cheapy flat iron at that {my really nice one died after years of use – I haven’t found a replacement yet, I’m still in mourning.}

Look:

Bottom line: I’ll be adding LiQWD products to my arsenal of hair-care goodies. And you should too.

Disclosure: I received full-size samples of LiQWD Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, Professional Smoothing Catalyst, and Professional Working Spray to facilitate this review.
