L’Oreal Micro-Pulse Eye – Worth It?

A very long time ago, I received a trial of L’Oreal Collagen Micro-Pulse Eye as part of my membership with BzzAgent. I’d forgotten about it, to be honest with you, but I found it a month or so ago when I was cleaning out the Inbox on my desk and thought I’d tell you about it.

Image from Drugstore.com, where you can also buy the product should you choose.

You take off the cap, apply the eye cream in a very specific pattern, then you put the cap back on and… well… I don’t know how else to say this. You use the, ahem, eye-brator in another very specific pattern and it’s supposed to do miracle work for your eyes.

You guys. FAIL.

First of all, the cream was way too heavy. Granted, I am used to a lighter eye gel (Clinique’s All About Eyes is my favorite, and if you really need it to be in a wand there’s the De-Puffing Eye Massage), but still. Eyes are a gentle area of skin, am I right? You don’t want a super thick cream resting there on your skin, feeling like you need to rub it in. And having to use the vibrating wand to get it into your skin just seemed weird and ineffective. I tried it for several days and every time, I had to wipe off the cream because it just didn’t soak into my skin.

Would I buy the product? No. Do I recommend it? Well – that depends. If you like thicker creams and enjoy having to follow a specific routine, then sure. Give it a try. But for me? This one’s headed to file 13.

I received a full-size trial of L’Oreal Collagen Micro-Pulse Eye as part of my membership with BzzAgent. The opinions expressed are my own. Obviously.
