In honour of Earth Day Month, today’s highlighted jewelry is made with the Earth in mind. These companies either use renewable or recycled materials so they’re eco-friendly and fabulous.
Kevia incorporates sustainability practices into their administrative and production elements. The designer works with reclaimed ebony and makes sure their stones are not heat treated, enhanced by radiation or heat treated. They recycle gold and filter run off water from production. Not to mention, they create gorgeous pieces at various price points. See?
Vintage 66 by Alex and Ani uses recycled castings, stones, jewels and metals from models and molds that date back to the company’s beginnings. So you get vintage chic and conscious sustainability all in one!
I discovered these companies in the magazine Whole Living, a Martha Steward Publication that is a fantastic mix of fashion and eco sense. Thanks Martha. You’ve done it again.
