Let’s Talk Leggings

Can we talk about leggings for a minute? Because, like every other fashion trend, I am totally late to the game on these. And with summer rolling up right around the corner, I’m liking the thought of capri leggings to go with some of my shorter summer dresses. Because, let’s face it: a lady reaches a certain age (and, ahem, a certain lack of exercise) that renders the mini-dress fairly useless, am I right?

I have a couple pairs kind of like these from Target. The ones I have are Mossimo Supply Co. and are available in full length, capri and “below the knee” – and are on sale for $7 this week! I didn’t find them on the website, but if you go in store they are located right between the juniors and women’s departments

I was just introduced to these beauties over the weekend. Must. Have. They’re the Yummie Tummie Dana Capri Reversible Leggings, and they look fabulous. They’re pretty spendy, but if they can suck in my gut for me, I’m thinking they might be worth the price.

Hue has their leggings on sale right now. I like them because they’re a little thicker – so they provide more coverage. And, although it doesn’t go with my wear-dresses-with-leggings mantra, how cute is this? Is it a skirt? Is it a pair of leggings? It’s both!

I won’t get into the pricier options I found, but let’s just say that I personally feel that $980 is a little, uh, MUCH for A PAIR OF LEGGINGS.

So, what say you? Have you embraced the leggings trend late like me? What are your favorites? Do tell!
