Celebrity Beauty Blogs

It all started with GOOP, Gwyneth Paltrow’s weekly newsletter covering food, fashion, travel, and more.

Then Lauren Conrad launched thebeautydepartment.com in April.

And now Courteney Cox is a contributing blogger on xoJane.

Admittedly I am a celebrity gossip fiend but, while I’m usually intrigued by my favorite celebrity’s product recommendations, I can’t help but feel a little skeptical of these blogs. Rarely do I see disclaimers, and I wonder if they’re paid for their celebrity endorsements. And Courteney Cox, a homemaker? While I’m sure she tends to her home, I imagine her primary job is actress. Right?

Am I being too cynical? Are you making a run for your local drugstore to pick up Clairol Natural Instincts hair color, per Courteney’s recommendation? Maybe it’s not so terrible that Lauren Conrad’s blog occasionally promotes her new Kohl’s fashion line?

What do you all think? Have you hopped on the celeb blogging bandwagon?
