Want perfectly shaped eyebrows like these? You can have them!
…in three not-so-easy steps.

GROW YOUR BROWS OUT
First – and I know this is hard – grow out your eyebrows until your friends start mistaking you for Groucho Marx.
Admittedly, you’ll spend a few weeks looking less than fabulous. But the beautiful arches you’ll have after will be worth the sacrifice! Promise.
FIND A PROFESSIONAL
When your eyebrows are nice and bushy, find a fabulous local esthetician. Ask your friends, ask online. You can find tons of local salon reviews on Google.
I know what you’re thinking. And I don’t care what Sally Hansen says. You are just not likely to get a great initial shape on your own or going to a beauty school. Yes, both are really affordable, but trust me, it’s so not worth it.
(This is the part where I really hope someone else can benefit from the wisdom I unintentionally gained with my eyebrow shaping mistakes.)
Everyone has a unique eyebrow shape that will look best on their face, and only a trained esthetician will be able to help you find yours. If you have naturally thin or light eyebrows, your esthetician can also recommend specific eyebrow tricks to help bring out your eyes. She can also often recommend just the right tweezers for you!
This initial eyebrow shaping can cost anywhere from $20-40, depending on where you live.
MAINTAIN YOUR SHAPE
After washing your face, take a look in a magnifying mirror and pluck all over to maintain the shape your esthetician created. I know all the magazines say don’t pluck above the brow-line. That’s a lie. Pluck wherever you see hair that should not be there. Your esthetician created a stunning look, and all you have to do is upkeep.
Depending on how fast your hair grows, you may have to pluck as often as every day, or as infrequently as once a week.
Then every 2-3 months, return to your esthetician to maintain your desired shape. These sessions will cost anywhere from $10-20.
And that’s it! It does take some effort, but don’t you think great eyebrows are worth it?
