Flash sale sites are one of the best kept secrets to having an amazing wardrobe on a budget. This is where you can score designer denim at over half off, designer purses for a steal and even jewelry at up to 80% off!
The trick is to resist blowing your money — just sign up and wait… and you’ll be able to pounce on what you want when it comes up. I recently saved up my HauteLook credits and scored a pair of 7 for All Mankind skinny jeans for $60, saving over $100! Just decide ahead of time what you want – an amazing black purse, gold bangles, classic trouser jeans… and subscribe and watch. All of these sites list their sales ahead of time, so when you want to check one out, you know exactly when its starting so you can pounce on the deals!
Most of these sites have clothing, accessories, kids, men, home, etc. And they almost all allow returns if something doesn’t fit. My trick? Go find out what size you wear in top brands. Either hit the denim department or use something like mybestfit, so when the sale starts you can buy with confidence.
HauteLook: HauteLook has the best denim sales – all of my designer jeans are from here. I continually score designer jeans for half off. (Not that I have that many, but my 4 pairs are all from here!) My biggest score here by far was a gorgeous watch – originally $250 and I paid $35. Check out this gorgeous bag that was up this week: a $497 Rebecca Minkoff bag for $249. Still pricey, but great savings! (The Kate Spade sales are insane, by the way.)
Gilt: Similar to HauteLook – the other site I check every day. Gilt constantly has amazing shoe sales. As in A-MAZ-ING. As in these Dolce Vita pumps for $99.
And I feel like they have better men’s sales and Gild Children is fantastic. Gilt is great for your holiday shopping – they often have top books on sale, which make terrific gifts – and toys galore.
Totsy – Totsy is geared for Moms, so their kids sales can’t be beat. They’ve added special deals for moms as well. You can get terrific deals on toys and baby items! So its a great way to stock up for birthday parties. Their best sale this week? TONS of deals on classic childrens’ books! Score!!
MyHabit.com – HIgh end designers. Right now they have Vera Wang dresses, Betsey Johnson clothes and Prada shoes. So if you’re looking to splurge on a big designer, this is your site! Um… Hello, Prada!!
