Liz Hurley Lightens Up

Elizabeth Hurley is one of those eternal beauties whose blend of classic and exotic features will never go out of style. Nearly twenty years after she burst on the scene in a safety-pin constructed Versace bodycon gown and completely eclipsed her hot boyfriend Hugh Grant, the world still watches Hurley’s fashion and beauty choices closely. More often than not, she makes the right ones.

This week, Hurley tweeted about a particularly great new hairstyle that she was excited to show off. In New York to film Gossip Girl, the gorgeous star headed to one of her favorite salons for some serious hair revamping. The result? A gorgeous spring look that I am seriously considering copying. You might just feel the same way.

Known for her shiny dark brown hair, Liz decided to lighten up a little this season. Stylist Corinne Danchaud from the Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon in NYC kept the starlet’s base dark, brightening things up with a half head of light beige blonde highlights. The contrast is scintillating, sexy, and of-the-moment. But since the base remains dark, the highlights can grow out at their own rate without a need for constant touch-ups.

Corinne explains that for Liz’s GG character Diana Payne, “I had to create a little more of a sexy look to her already sexy figure by adding some highlights for extra glamour.” We think this look totally translates from the small screen to the busy mom’s real life. Ready to go for it? Show your stylist this photo and let them get to work. Depending on your coloring, you might need cooler or warmer tones, but either way, this look is sure to put a spring in your step.
