Pantone’s 2012 color of the year has been all over the runway, a deep, bright orange with slight pinkish tones and a bold energy. Tangerine Tango is an enlightening color, full of life and vigor, it inspires us to move forward with our lives.
This flattering color has already infiltrated my closet, adding a bright whimsy to dresses and accessories. I love pairing it with turquoise and navy. Recently though, I’m finding myself drawn to beauty products that have hints of this fabulous color.
This Le Metier de Beaute Limited Edition Sheer Lip Gloss is my new go-to. Its orange undertones brighten my lips natural color, providing a color boost and shine that lasts all day.
Sephora recently announced a partnership with Pantone to promote Tangerine Tango in various products. I rarely wear blush, but after a pale winter, I needed to add some life back into my cheeks. This Prisma Crome Apricot Brandy blush adds just a touch of color and a slight glow. I love that it blends easily like a cream but feels light and airy.
MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Aqua Cream is one of my spring/summer staples. I typically use it as an eyeshadow primer with a sheer, shimmery eyeshadow layered on top or when we go boating or swimming, because it’s completely waterproof! Stays all day! So I’m definitely going to be making my next Aqua Cream purchase in Orange #10 to layer with a shimmery peach or pink eyeshadow.
