My hubby and I {and our little nugget!} are vacationing in Georgia at the end of May and it’s all I can do not to have a countdown posted in my living room. In large letters on poster-sized paper.
Instead, I just do a lot of Internet-window-shopping dreaming of long lazy days on the beach.
I love this bathing suit. It’s retro in the best way, flattering for most body types and is the perfect mommy-kini.
I know rompers get a lot of flack, but I happen to love them and think they’re the perfect beach cover-up. Plus, wearing it as a cover-up is the most non-committal way to indulge in the trend. If someone were to question your romper-wearing, you could just blame it on the sun and the sand.
Since we’re talking about “controversial” fashion, we may as well settle on the big floppy hat. Again, I’m a fan. What’s not to love? They’re fabulously chic and great for keeping the sun off of your face. Win-Win, I say.
You can’t go to the beach without a great pair of sunnies, and I’m loving these cat-eyes. They’re popping up everywhere, and are an inexpensive, easy way to be on trend.
I’m a shoe girl, so finding the perfect pair is always fun. I really like these sandals because they’re so versatile. They can be worn all day on the sand, and transition easily to a night out paired with a georgous tank dress.
Last, but not least, is the beach bag. Forget the days of tossing things in a predictable plastic-y number. Why not take something that will make a statement both on and off the sand? And Kate Spade knows how to make a statement. I love the detail and color of this bag. It’s stunning. Of course, you don’t need Kate Spade to make a fabulous statement. There are plenty of other choices out there that won’t break the bank.
Put it all together, and what have you got? The perfect vacation ensemble, that will make you look and feel fabulous.
