In four short days I’ll be leaving on a plane with my girlfriends. And our mamas. For a week filled with sunshine and the beautiful gulf coast of Florida. I simply cannot wait. Which is why I’ve been window shopping for some new swimwear.
I love that the retro 50s look is back in a big way, but sometimes you just have to be realistic about your body type. I have short legs and an extremely long torso (and a chest that’s on the smaller side), so the retro styles with higher cut waistbands don’t quite flatter me. Instead I look for bottoms with a higher leg cut to visually lengthen my legs and a top that has ruching or ruffles to add volume to my chest. I’m also a fan of hipster type bottoms since my short legs come with a rather curvy behind. You now know more about my body type that you every thought possible.
