Redbook Launches the Care Packages for Caregivers Program

We were thrilled to hear that Redbook is taking huge strides to care for military families!! Each year thousands of our servicemen and women return home from duty with injuries, both physical and cognitive. For these soldiers and their families the sacrifice doesn’t end once they return home, but lasts a lifetime. We rarely hear about the invisible war heroes, the loved ones make to help support their injured partners never taking a break. For them, the tour of duty never ends. The partners of wounded warriors pour everything they have into providing specialized care for our soldiers, but who takes care of them?

In honor of those who have sacrificed so much for the nation, REDBOOK has partnered with nonprofit organization Operation Gratitude to provide 1,000 military caregivers with special care packages filled with great gifts from retailers such as Old Navy, Coffee Roasters and Bath & Body Works.

Throughout the month of December, REDBOOK is asking others to help join the cause. All they have to do is log on to redbookmag.com/carepackages. There you can write a personal letter gratitude to the spouse of a wounded veteran, or make a donation toward the cost of shipping the packages—every dollar helps make this season just a little sweeter for our military families.

I hope you’ll join All Things Chic in supporting this amazing cause that gives hard working military families a little pampering for the holidays!
