The Royal Family released photos on Monday of the Duchess of Cambridge happily posing with the second and third heirs to the British throne — her husband Prince William, and their infant son, Prince George, who will be turning one month old next week. Kate is holding her son, who is swaddled in a flowing blanket, so he is blocking most of her figure in the photos. Strategic – the new mom could have worn just about anything and looked fantastic. But what did she choose? A $79 maternity dress by Seraphine.

So many celebrities make headlines for squeezing into skinny jeans days after giving birth and showing off their completely flat abs in bikinis weeks later. Middleton created buzz last month, when she stepped out of the hospital 24 hours after giving birth with styled hair, perfect makeup… and her post-baby belly on full display.
Considering Kate wore non-maternity dresses well into her pregnancy, this choice to don a maternity dress was very likely intentional on her part.
