Get Date Night Ready with Neutrogena

This post is part of the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® 2014 program by Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are all my own, and I hope you enjoy them.

Moms, how often do you get a real night out? When you get to put on makeup, eat dinner without cutting anyone else’s meat, linger over a glass of wine, watch a movie with absolutely zero animated characters? Make the most of it!!

Take the time before your night out to pamper yourself and really enjoy! I know, I know… as a mom you are often skipping showers and putting make up on in the car. But just a few little tricks will make your night extra special! And – The HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® program is offering amazing printable coupons, tips & tools and so much more for all the products you and your family love. You can get significant savings by visiting the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS website in February and signing up for extra-sweet HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® coupons and offers. So now you can save a bit of money – so you can pay the babysitter to stay a little longer for your Valentine’s Day date!

DATE NIGHT ESSENTIALS

THE DAY BEFORE:

Take an hour or two and whiten and brighten your smile! Rembrant 2-Hour Intense Whitening Kit works wonders! I’ve used it before and was amazed at the results. Its super easy and you can just go about your normal routine while the whitening trays work their magic. Get a printable coupon for $3 off any two REMBRANDT® Whitening Paste or Rinse products at HealthyEssentials.com.

Pick out your outfit (down to whatever fancy underthings you have planned) and make sure everything is clean, ironed and ready. There’s nothing worse than having your heart set on an outfit, only to find out all of your black tights have a run or the shirt is missing a button right before you need to walk out the door!

ONE HOUR BEFORE:

Call the sitter and reschedule. Ask them to come one hour earlier. Trust me.

Once the kids are out of your hair, go in your bathroom and lock the door. Turn on music if you must to drown out that pitter patter of little feet… It’s time to unwind and relax. Take a shower  or even (gasp!) linger in a hot bath. Use Rejuvenating body wash, shave your legs (when did that become a luxury?) and then follow with some Neutrogena body oil or lotion. Take the time to really pamper your body and get focused on the night ahead!

Now the fun part. Getting all dolled up!

Step 1: Remember to use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Primer so your makeup will stay put, wherever your activities take you. Follow with your favorite foundation, adding concealer where needed.
Step 2: Shadow time! I love Neutrogena’s Crease Proof Eye Shadow stays put and is super easy to apply – blend a few together for a dramatic look! I love to go dramatic for a date night – since I never do that in my daily makeup routine!  Follow up by adding eyeliner – It will really make your eyes pop!
Step 3: And of course you need to layer on the mascara!  For a faux-lash look, try alternating Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara with Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara  in Carbon Black – you’ll get the benefits of each and really make your lashes full and long!!
Step 4: Add a warm touch of color with Healthy Skin Blends Sheer Highlighting Blush in Pure on the apples of the cheeks.
Step 5: Lips. Another step I usually never do in daily life! Neutrogena MoistureSticks are perfect – and you can throw one in your purse for later.

Easy as pie! And you can get a printable coupon for $1 off any NEUTROGENA® Cosmetics product at HealthyEssentials.com.

Now look at you, Miss Thang! You look like a movie star and you’re ready for your red carpet moment.

TEN MINUTES BEFORE:

Get dressed in the pretty outfit you picked out yesterday… spritz on your favorite perfume… And you’re ready to go – relaxed, gorgeous and ready to focus on having a marvelous time!

(And don’t forget… Healthy Essentials has special deals for Valentine’s Night as well 🙂
