My Morning Routine Made Smoother with AmLactin

In an ideal world, I’d wake up naturally: sun shining through the windows, birds singing outside. I’d go downstairs and leisurely sip a cup of coffee. After a quick morning run, I’d come home to shower (or maybe even soak in a luxurious bath) and get ready for the day.

Maybe in my dreams. Sadly, its not unusual to sit down at my desk to work and realize I’m still wearing my pajama top. Or get to the bus stop and realize I haven’t even glanced in a mirror all morning.

My mornings start at 6am, when I wake up my daughter to catch the middle school bus which comes bright and early at 6:45. I typically sit and chat with her as she eats breakfast while I sip my first cup of coffee before getting her out the door.

Then I have 15 minutes to get ready before I need to wake up my son. If I’m feeling ambitious, I manage to jump in for a quick shower. I always moisturize after. My skin is so dry – especially when the weather starts getting drier with fall creeping in – and a good, restorative moisturizer is a must. AmLactin Cerapeutic™ Restoring Body Lotion is the #1 moisturizer brand recommended by dermatologists for rough, dry skin. It is fragrance-free and prescription-strength without a prescription.

If I’m on schedule, I take a minute to pamper my feet with AmLactin Foot Cream. Moisturizing is one of my morning must-dos… if I don’t I’ll be itchy by lunchtime! (This is a must-do-morning-ritual for my daughter, too! She has terribly dry skin, and AmLactin makes a huge difference for her! She must have fragrance-free products or else her skin gets irritated.)

My makeup routine is super quick. I usually just use a tinted moisturizer, a bit of mascara and some lip gloss (and just enough concealer to fix those dark circles). Usually in between herding kids! Hair usually is a speedy blowdry (on a good day) or a ponytail (on a rough day).

Then I’m off again! (That was a busy 15 minutes, wasn’t it?) Waking my son is always fun. He is not a morning person and I usually end up having to keep reminding him to eat, else he’ll fall asleep in his Cheerios. We always head to the bus stop with the dog – its the highlight of Winston’s day to visit with all the other bus stop dogs and get to see that big yellow bus, full of kids waving at him.

We take a quick walk and then I get the last kid up and out. This three school thing is not for the faint of heart! I’m ready for a nap by the time I’m done!
