V-Day Style for Your Littles

Kids are just so darn fun to dress, right? And this girl totally loves a theme. But in my humble opinion, the best holiday to buy specific clothing for is Valentine’s Day, because most of it can be worn year-round. I mean really, when is love ever a bad theme? From Old Navy and Target to the most adorable mom-shops online, it seems everyone has cute duds up for the taking this V-Day. And while you may have missed the deadline to shop some of the bespoke looks in time, there’s nothing like a little red, white, and pink inspiration board. You can always order in a week or so and dress your kid in hearts just ‘cuz. Right?

Put your sweetheart in a dress to match her personality. I am all over this adorable Old Navy option that only looks expensive. Available in sizes 0-3 through 18-24 months, this one has the baby and toddler set ready to share the love. $17.

valboyLet that little gent in on the fun with a message tee that’s equal parts adorable and cool. Slyfox Threads happens to be one of my favorite places to shop for duds for the whole family. My husband, daughter, and I wear their tees and hoodies constantly. So what if this particular style is pretty much geared toward that one special day? I have a feeling any time he wears this one you’ll hear tons of oohing and aahing. Available in sizes baby 3-6 months to kids 12. $25.

Oh my goodness. I can’t even handle the cuteness. Hammer + Pepper is a really awesome, mom-pop-and-baby boutique inspired by the crafty mom’s little daughter Zara. Baby Z’s parents together started this shop featuring headbands, bows, and turbans for littles and grownups, too. This sequin bow turban is pretty much the most delicious thing I’ve found in my V-Day shopping adventures. But don’t worry about leaving your little dude out though, because their pint-size bowtie collection is absolutely to die for, too. Nova Red Turban now on sale for $12. Sizes newborn-adult.

There’s no need to fork over a ton of cash on a whole outfit when you can say so much for so little. This social media-savvy onesie from Just One You by Carter’s is a $6 Target find and will work long after Valentine’s Day. I mean, isn’t your little guy always a heartbreaker? This is a great piece because it also works for little girls, especially for those moms like me who get a little sick of the always-frilly, sparkles-only aesthetic that can overwhelm the girls’ section. Available in sizes newborn – 12 months.

Okay, remember what I said about the girly-girl stuff above? Forget it long enough to indulge in these precious, bow-detail pink moccasins from Brooklyn-based mom and designer Kayla behind the brand Moccs for Your Little. The pair photographed here is Willow’s and she also has the gold. These are a perfect shoes or every day but it’s even better if you get red, white, or pink to up the ante on that special, love-themed outfit. Stock up and save: one pair of basic moccs is only $18, but two or more are an even better deal at $15 each. Special colors and textures are only a bit more.
