We headed down the Outer Banks a few weeks ago for a little family vacation. And while we couldn’t exactly enjoy the ocean (I was on constant shark watch down there!) we did get to enjoy a fair amount of sun! I had recently gone to my yearly skin-scan at my dermatologist and had a few spots on my skin that were removed as they were suspect (results were clean though!), so I was really worrying about how much sun exposure we were getting while playing on the beach and in the pool. Before this summer, I had never worn a rashguard over my suit. I always thought they were for surfers, not for recreational swimming and beaching. And they looked so hot. All that extra material?
But I took the plunge and purchased this Lattice Printed Rashguard and the Navy Rio Embroidered Rashguard from Cabana Life and have to say, I’m in love! The material is quality, but light and breathable. I didn’t feel overheated or sticky while wearing it. I loved the ruched sides, I could lower them to wear the rashguard as a dress/coverup on our walk to the beach, but pull the sides up into a shirt for swimming. AND all of Cabana Life’s rashguards are SPF 50, which puts anyone’s mind at ease about sun exposure.
I may not have the tannest stomach this year, but I definitely feel a lot better about protecting my skin – and it didn’t hurt that I looked cute while doing it!
